The Internet Marketing Main Event

I'm blogging from my office PC... only I'm not in my office.

I am, in fact, in the American Airlines Admirals Club at D/FW International Airport, awaiting my flight to Oklahoma City. With GoToMyPC, I can login to my office PC from any PC in the world. It's pretty cool stuff!

And I must say, the Admirals Club is awfully nice. I'm on a one-time visit pass and am not sure it's worth the annual price of admission. I guess it depends on how much I am going to be traveling.

Anyhow, I have been in Baltimore for the past few days, attending Mike Filsaime and Paulie Sabols' Internet Marketing Main Event.

With the assistance of Donna Fox (actually, a bit more than just "assistance") and a fantastic supporting staff, Mike and Paulie pulled off one of the absolute best events I have ever attended.

Approximately 225 people packed the BWI Airport Marriott Hotel for a 3-day Internet marketing extravaganza.

Featured speakers included Rich Schefren, Dave Lakhani, Adam Ginsberg, Jeff Walker, Stephen Pierce and Matt Bacak, among others. I had the privilege of taking the stage Sunday morning before lunch. Needless to say, there were plenty of pennies to go around. That would only make sense if you have seen me speak :-) Spending time with legends such as Rich, Dave, Adam and Stephen is a thrill. There are so many brilliant, visionary people in Internet marketing. It is a privilege to be able to participate alongside them.

Then there was the opportunity to finally meet some folks in person, whom I had previously only known "virtually". Matthew Glanfield, Michael Nicholas, Ben Shaffer and many others were an absolute pleasure to shake hands with and get to know. There are just so many wonderful people in this industry. I can't imagine anything I would enjoy doing more at this point in my life than being a part of this industry.

Finally, I made many NEW friends! The attendees whom I had never met were eager to learn and highly appreciative for that the time that was taken to share with them. I am excited to see so many people catching the vision, and am certain that many caterpillars will soon become butterflies :-)

Oh, I also broke Adam Ginsberg's brand-new tablet pc. But that's another story you'll hear about soon. We're going to take lemons and make lemonade.

It's about time to catch my flight back to OKC, so I must conclude. More soon...
