Tomorrow is the BIG day!

Posted on October 5, 2003 02:37 PM by Joel Comm

Well, we are pulling it all together for the BIG ROAD TRIP! We are due to set out for our first stop, St. Louis, on Monday morning. I hope you will follow along with us on our journey as I intend to Blog and photojournal every day. Please let me know if we are in your stomping grounds or if you have any suggestions en route. Lots of packing to do, so I'll catch you all tomorrow night after we settle in St. Louis.

On the road again
Just can't wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin' music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again

Too bad we no longer fit into what is considered Northern anything. When you want to do the Confederate side of history, set your itinerary in our direction and we'll introduce you to two of the oldest cities in America, St. Augustine,FL, and St. Marys,GA, respectively. We live in the latter and find ourselves a lovely 70-minute drive from the former. We understand that the North is chock-full of historical sites, but Zachary and Jenna DO need a well-rounded history lesson, which just happens to be Trey's specialty anyway -- so consider this a formal invitation for a future expedition : ) Keep safe and we'll check in regularly to hear about your travels. Don't forget Amish country in Ohio -- Holmes County. That's my old stomping grounds, and it often gets overlooked for the better-known Lancaster Amish in PA. Any other tips needed on navigating history in OH, and you can check w/me. Sending a hug from the Darbonnes! Love Pam
