What is The Secret?
No, no... not THAT Secret. That's an email for another day.
MY secret is actually going to be revealed live at Armand Morin's Big Seminar on Friday morning.
And the buzz is building. Everyone is asking me "What IS it, Joel?"
My reply? You'll have to wait until Friday to see... just like everyone else.
And I promise, tomorrow I will let YOU in on my Secret. I believe you will be excited when I pull back the curtain and reveal what will become one of the most talked-about events in Internet marketing history. :-)
But I don't want to leave you with just a teaser for tomorrow, so I think I will answer a few questions from the mailbag...
Question: How can one own "dozens" of websites and blogs, and have time to regularly add quality, original content to each one of them?
Answer: It is certainly a challenge, but very doable with the right team. I recommend starting with ONE site and perfecting the process of adding quality content on a regular basis. Once you've got one site going, start your next one. If you don't want to create content yourself, you can outsource it a number of ways. One way is to get volunteers to write for you. Some people are happy to write about a subject because they are passionate about it. Perhaps you can offer than a link back to their site for contributing. Another way to generate content is to pay someone to write it for you. Elance.com and RentaCoder.com both provide many writers eager to be put to work for a reasonable fee. Remember, the more you grow your site(s), the more likely you are to earn in the long term!
Question: Hi Joel, I have been reading your mails regularly and find them really informative. I have a question, I know web designing and development and almost created my first website. Is there any future in web site business of is it much hyped on Internet.
Answer: There is so much opportunity online that I can't imagine there ever being a time in history that would match it! We now have the tools and technology that allow anyone to become a publisher to the entire world with a few clicks. That's incredible! The key is to find your niche and implement strategies that have been tried and tested. Don't reinvent the wheel. Learn from those who have gone before and determine to carve out your own piece of the Internet pie. It will be hard work, but the payoff is worth it.
Question: I have a doubt regarding adsense TOS, can I put in one only web site adsense code from more than one adsense account? The thing is I have a business partner who has an adsense account too and wants to put his code in the web site for getting checks to his name and improve his financial info so he can get more credit. Would it be a good idea? Is this a breach of the TOS? I've been reading TOS but I don't have it clear, could you please give me your thought about it.
Answer: Great question! You can only have one publisher code on a single web page at any one time. However, if you want you can create an ad rotator script that alternates publisher codes with different page views. So one person might see AdSense ads specifically tagged to your account while another viewer sees ads tied to your business partner's account. That allows both of you to display ads and stay within Google's TOS.
