XM Rocks

I finally took the plunge. I ordered a Delphi MyFi XM2Go portable XM satellite receiver from the Amazon.com marketplace.

First of all, I didn't pay the $299 retail price. A marketplace seller had the same unit brand new for $219! I received it within just a few days of ordering and was overwhelmed to see how much stuff is in the box.

I dove in and had the unit up and running on my home stereo in no time. The interface is very intuitive and before I knew it I was saving favorite channel presets and setting up the MyFi to record Glenn Beck on channel 166 at a scheduled time.

The MyFi XM2Go allows you to record up to 5 hours of programming for later listening. It's like Tivo for satellite radio!

After examining the XM and Sirius channels and programming, it was a no-brainer for me. So far I am quite pleased with this unit and XM radio. I have not yet set the receiver up in my car, but I will be doing that soon.

I had XM for a long time - back when the recording industry didn't have a spasm over the PCR - and it was great. I was especially fond of the seasonal channels once the holidays rolled around.

I picked up the MyFi from Realdeal.com for 217.00 delivered Fedex 2 day Air. I've had a Sirius unit in both cars for about 2 years now. I have 2 statements after trying XM.
    1. Sirius is weak in equipment quality, programming, and function
    2. I will be cancelling my Sirius and buying a second MyFi for the wife.
If you are considering XM or Sirius..it's no contest...XM all the way.
If you are considering bying a MyFi I highly recommend it.
