Arbonne Forums

Arbonne is one of the fastest-growing multi-level marketing businesses in America. In the past, I have blogged about my experiences with Arbonne. Those posts have received more comments than just about anything else I have written about. So, I have decided it is time for the web to have dedicated Arbonne Forums where consultants and customers can discuss the product and the business opportunity. If you are either, or you are just curious, I invite you to join the fray and become a pioneer by posting at the site.

1. Although i’m not a Arbonne rep I agree no one should bash anyones line of work.
While I was considering working w/ Arbonne i was quick to say no for many reasons…
1 being the compensation plan.
2 being the ingredients (Sodium Laureth Sulfates)
3. being the lack in education
4. being the amount of money you group needs to make in order to actually recieve your check.
I was very interested in this company and do still like some of the products…but i personally couldn’t sell something that I wasn’t passionate about!
I was introduced to Intuit Beauty last fall and well…the money is great, the girls are fun, the celebrities who use our products are huge, and the TV publicity and magazine coverage is FUN! I’m a trendy, up w/ the times, fashion girly girl…so this was a perfect FIT!
I think its all in what your likes and dislikes are…
All i can say is that Intuit is an amazing company to work for and i’m glad that i chose this…but i still go to Arbonne parties to support my friends!!
So Rock on Arbonne ladies…if you are working it and making what you would like and are seeing the results in your skin then the power to you…keep on selling!!
Best of luck to all y’all!!

2. ‘Whether you think you can or think you can’t, either way you are right.” Henry Ford ( I think)
Arbonne gives you the tools to succeed. Everyone is watching Arbonne right now, we are growing at an unprecedented rate and we are not even a household name yet.

3. Hi, I just want to say I am a newer consultant with Arbonne and LOVE IT. Additionally, everyone I have sampled out the RE9 to have also LOVED IT. My upline is supportive and absolutely DID NOT require me to spend more than $29 on products, I chose to spend more because I wanted them for myself…..but affordability should never be a concern for a new consultant…your job is to help them succeed NOT fail. Anyhow, I was disappointed to hear that and I did hear that some nations required new reps to spend X amount of dollars to sign on to their nation, but that isn’t smart….sometimes the most driven people for success have the least money (hence their desire to change their lives). Good luck to you all that are working other companies, FIND YOUR BLISS and love your job. I do.

4. Arbonne is a complete hoax, I tried the products and I have to say I noticed absolutley no difference in my skin, for the price I was honestly expecting so much more.
Also, there is absolutely no education from the consultants on the products, only how to apply. There are truly big gaps on product knowledge that scare me. The worst part about Arbonne is being hunted down by your friends and family who have been turned into Arbonne Robots. If the product was really as good as Arbonne thinks it is I would be the first person to hunt them down to buy products.
To all the Arbonne consultants, don’t think for one moment when you are approaching me to purchase product that you are doing this to improve my life. It’s all about you, Arbonne and the mighty dollar and I’m sure your are thinking about me when you are driving your White Mercedes to your next meeting. I have more respect for Avon consultant who at least have the decency to treat you like a person and not a cash cow.
I have read the Arbonne Success magazines and I truly feel bad for women who may be in desperate situations and believe Arbonne will be thier saviour.

5. Arbonne is a typical MLM company that operates on the Pyramid Scheme premise: the lowest levels of the pyramid make those at the very top wealthy. It’s not about the product (it never is) but rather is a vehicle for pulling naive folks into a sure-fire money LOSING proposition. Less than 1% of all participants in MLM’s make a profit. And, if you do make money, you are very possibly doing it illegally. There are numerous examples of people who have been arrested and convicted of fraud and all kinds of charges for profiting from these types of arrangements. Arbonne may be legal but it isn’t ethical or right to take money from those who least likely can afford to lose it.

6. Again, I have known many family and friends who have been in this particular company…and have worked hard for small paychecks…
Anyway, my company just launched this past month…and it is with the 2 of the most noted Dermatologists in America…their products were #1 in retail, and continue to win numerous awards…they are well-established, and professional…they are the creators of Proactiv!
Anyway, I surpassed my full-time income, and am here to stay! I think there is true beauty in a non-saturated market, and being on the TRUE ground-floor like we are.
Be cautious, do research, choose a company with a proven track record…and remember, timing is everything!!! Statistically those who start a company in their first couple years are those that make notable incomes.
Best wishes to all!

7. I was one of those who tried to sell Arbonne & was told to buy alot upfront because if I had a store front business I would be buying inventory. It took me 9 months to realize it was not for me. I have since stumbled on a new opportunity, Votre Vu. The prices of products are less and the products are great. The compensation plan is better & promotes teamwork! The company launches in August 2008 & I can’t wait!
Anyone can call me if you would like more information.
Thanks

8. Hi! I am an Arbonne consultant too, however I do not really work it as a source of income. I actually left Arbonne for about a year, let my membership lapse, and tried other products. I have always had a tough time staying loyal to any particular product. However, after my best friend became a consultant this year, I decided to come back. I can say with all honesty that after trying many different brands of skin care out there, Arbonne is the very best. I was a rep with Avon for over 10 years in the the 80’s to 90’s. While Avon had some terrific products, Arbonne Re9 is really head and shoulders above. I just like to share it with friends and family that have been looking for better skin care. If I make a little money, that’s a bonus, but I don’t worry about it.
If anyone is telling you that the membership fee to get started is more than $29.00, then they are only doing it for their self interest and they certainly need to be reported. If they are telling you that you have the opportunity to make money faster by investing more into products for those to try, then yes, that just might be true. But it is totally up to you! The old addage that it takes money to make money is often true.
I am a rep with a Sterling Silver Jewelry company which is more of a direct marketing company which I prefer, but they do offer a fabulous MLM
aspect as well, but it is up to you if you want to pursue that. I prefer to make money with a direct sales method, but there is nothing wrong with an MLM as long as a product is being sold.
Good luck to all of you that are building your business with Arbonne, and to those on the fence, ask your consultant to give you the literature so that you can be well informed. Do not just take someone’s work for it. I researched my jewelry company for months before I decided to become a rep. When I found no cons…and talked with the company..I felt informed and ready to go! Plus I have fabulous skin now and great jewelry to go with it!! lol

9. Hi. As of right now I am still an Arbonne AM. I’ve been involved since Nov 2004. I was pretty successful during my first year. It was pretty easy finding people in my warm market to book parties and even a couple of people I knew joined my business right away. Business was always “okay”, never “explosive.”
When the Results system came out, business started to pick up. Everyone started hearing stories of consultants promoting to Region in 6 months, even 3 months. I think after that, many consultants caught the “Results” fever. I, too, was guilty of this. I bought the 4 kits that was recommended and many of my team did too. During my 2nd year (2006) my team and I actually went into qualification for Region. Sadly, we did not finish Region in the months allowed. I beat myself up for months afterwards!
I’m actually glad that I did not finish Region becuase my team would not have been able to sustain the volume needed. Then when I looked around, there were RVPs that I knew losing their regions as well!
I’ve got to say that after not finishing Region, I took a serious look at myself and my business. I actually took some time off to reflect and really study Arbonne and how people were doing business. Booking parties and doing results wasn’t working for my team. I went from a team of 16 business builders to 3 in 3 months!
It was then that I started to take a look around and actually started educating myself and looking at the Arbonne “culture.” I took classes on network marketing that actually taught you how to prospect and close. And as my education continued, I finally realized that in order for me to succeed, I had to start marketing online.
Except — Arbonne doesn’t allow consultants to market online. Everyone was encouraged to market belly-to-belly, 3 foot rule, referrals. Well, after 3 years of doing all that, I was still not successful.
It didn’t make sense that in today’s technology age, consultants were not allowed to marketing Arbonne online. Instead of reaching 3-5 people at a party, with online marketing, you can actually reach 10x more people.
I can’t believe that consultants are still encouraged to sell Arbonne using methods that worked inthe 1970s and 80s! Yes, it works for some people, but not for the majority of people who join. That’s why the attrition rate is so high in Arbonne as well as other MLMs.
While doing my research online, I actually did find something else that I liked better because it allowed me to market online and reach hundreds of more people. I can now say that I know how to effectively market any product online after all of my studies.
I have to say that I did meet some very nice people while i was active in Arbonne. But now that I’m no longer doing parties, etc. these same people who claimed to be my friends no longer return my emails or phone calls…It saddens me because I genuinely thought that Arbonne was a “people” business.
Anyhow, I still use the products simply because I like them. I will probably always be a consultant because I like the discount.
Good luck to those of you who choose to build your Arbonne business that traditional way.

10. I think that when deciding, one needs to look at how many consultants are in your area (aka how many you are competing with) the comp plan, how much you have to invest monthly, and who the financial investor is!
I am BLESSED to be a founding consultant for the doctors who created Proactiv…they now have skincare for all skintypes, and we just launched a few months ago…and I already make more than I do in my full time career.
Plus, I really enjoy being backed by the integrity of the doctors, and we don’t stock any inventory, nor do we do parties…it is refreshing, and fun!
If you would like to know more about what you should look for when considering a company, contact me, and I am happy to tell you what I looked for, before I chose the perfect business for me!
Good luck!

11. I am an Arbonne District Manager in San Francisco, http://www.karencunningham.myarbonne.com but born and raised in Sydney. This business was a breath of fresh air for me as I navigated the path of Career Change (is there corporate security in our lives these days anyway?). My friend Caroline a Physiotherapist told me that she was going to start an Arbonne business and quite frankly I thought that she had lost her marbles. But, being a good friend, I tried the Re9 anti-aging line and a few days later, really noticed a difference in my skin. It was softer and had a better glow, so I became a customer….Six months later, you can see my own pictures at (karencunninghammyarbonne.blogspot.com), I decided to start my own Arbonne business.
With respect to some earlier posters, if you have lofty goals and expect instant gratification, this is not for you. You will get out of this business what you are prepared to put into it. This is a really solid Company with an opportunity for you to grow a part-time business as slow or as fast as you are prepared to do, or make this a full-time career. Some people are happy with an additional $500 per month (very do-able), others want $12M per year (plan on a 10-15 year career with Arbonne). It is all possible, but it does depend on your own talent and time investment, with no guarantees. But take a look at the Company growth statistics and that is truly impressive.
I am coming home to Sydney for a few weeks to train people in my team, interested in furthering or starting their Arbonne businesses; and would welcome and inquiries. I am arriving on October 12, 2008. If you would like to know more about our business, this is the time to ask. We have a $45 start fee with NO minimum purchases required – ever. Plus, Our Company has also received the most prestigious awards in the US for our exceptional training, which is just as good, maybe even better in Australia.
Please know that our Company was formed in 1980 by a Norweigan Chemist, Petter Morck, who wanted to make the purest and safest personal health care products available. He succeeded and now 28 years later, Arbonne has over 360 Health and Wellness products that are botanically based, pH correct, Vegan.org certified (all products are tested with volunteer human panels), hypoallergenic to European standards (0 on a scale of 0-10); and we are free from Parabens, SLS, Mineral Oils and all artificial colors, fragrances and dyes. We are one of the top Direct Sales Companies (see DSA or DSAA.org) and we are expanding internationally each year. Your business if you decide that this might be for you has no boundaries.
Good luck, I love these products and my skin is a testament to how the anti aging skin care really works.

12. i recently attended an opportunity meeting and was to told to join as a dm i would have to invest in 1400.00, that is for 4 re9 kits with bag and 700.00 worth of products for 350.00. does this sound right?

13. @dee Remember, you want to try and keep your expenses in line with your income. If you are experiencing some success as an Arbonne Internet Consultant, then you should dedicate a portion of that income to drive sales through your Arbonne Internet Consultant website.
You might want to consider running Google advertising in place of purchasing the extra products.
Hope this helps,

14. People, get a grip. If you work hard, you will succeed. If you don’t, you won’t. I’m an Arbonne DM almost AREA. If someone tells you to buy a lot of product (more than a few hundred dollars worth), tell them to take a flying leap! They are not an ethical person and are trying to “front load” you. Mary Kay and Reliv both do that. Mary Kay insists that you need to buy one of everything and Reliv lets you buy in at a certain discount level. So the more you buy, the greater your discount. Arbonne is not like that. ANYONE can have their own business for $29 and get 20% off (and they give you tons of samples for that) and I know of a woman who was cleaning houses and all she could afford was the $29. She bought 10 catalogs and created an awesome income over the next five years by selling!
I know there are people in the Florida area who do what is called “10 packing” which is to encourage you to buy 10 RE9 sets and hand them to 10 friends and then their 10 friends, etc. DON’T DO IT! It is unethical and like Mary Kay and Reliv, it leaves most people with thousands of dollars of credit card bills.
And as for the woman who says marketing online is the way to go, people want to buy from people they know, like and trust. That is why the party system works the best. You meet more people in one sitting, it is fun, and people buy, yes, even in this economy, people are buying.
If someone has pushed you into buying more Arbonne than you feel comfortable with, call the company. They will take it back and give you 90% of your money back!
Have a great one,
A smart cookie.

15. In response to the line that states the Arbonne is the fastest growing direct sales company… that was true about 5 years ago but check your records–if you have access to a backoffice.
In tools, then info, then demographics (the end of the link should read info/demographics.asp) … from what I can see, Arbonne is drastically declining in numbers and losing consultants. (that is in the US deomographics maps) The recently openned Australia seems to be rising but it might be because it is new there.
I suspect the decline is due to the the economy in part, but also the fact that people get in thinking the products are truly natural and then read the labels once they receive their delivery. There are other factor too but I don’t want to slam Arbonne too much–it is simply the numbers. The products are actually quite good if you’re not a chemical free earth mama like myself.

16. Hello,
I am new here. I have tried serveral herbal medication for psoriasis.
My friend recommended me to try Dr.Shah psoriasis treatment
But no luck. It turned out to be of no use. I have natural medicines are the best for psoriasis. Can someone please let me know the ones they would recommend.
I am desparate. Please any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks.

17. Hey there everyone… I have been a reader this forum for a prolonged period but I don’t typically post. Nevertheless, I have a query that I think needs to be answered by folks who are far more experienced than I am about the internet. I am introducing my own firm and I could do with a site. A lot of the success of the firm will be determined by the quality of the website. I am taking into consideration two ideas:
1. A area web company like this one that is local to my locale (Non Profit Web Design)
One of their designs:

or
2. A nationwide firm like SEO.com.
The national company is approaching 5 times higher in cost but they observably realize what they are doing. The area site ranks highly locally and has the finest designs…
I am asking for support in which direction to go. Thanks for the help!

18. Excuse me all, can a person please help me out? I got here the other day by way of google but now are unable to find once more the post I was reading that day . And before someone asks, no I am not blond merely not that excellent with pcs hehe.

19. Hey guys and girls, would someone if possible help me out? I come here the other day by using yahoo but now can not discover once again the post I was reading that day . And before somebody asks, no I am not blond simply not that great with pcs hehe.
Thanks 🙂

20. Hey Kimberlee! I am just getting started with Arbonne and want to advance as quickly as you did! I have a great upline but was hoping you might have some more suggestions for me! Email me if you get a chance! Jackie [email protected]

21. I came across this forum and couldn’t resist but to point something out to everyone. My girlfriend has been a consultant with arbonne since February of last year. I will not comment on whether or not I think the company offers good products nor whether I think it is a scam or not. The only thing I want to point out to those out there who are trying to decide whether or not Arbonne is the right fit for them is this. If you look at the posts above you will find one thing in common; not one of them discusses how much they are able to actually profit from this business. Yeah working for an “all natural” company is great and there may be a lot of good people but at the end of the day if you are not able to make money from it you might as well just be a consumer. Not one person above discusses how they were actually ble to make money, or comment on whether the money is even good or not. The only arguement that this company has going for them is that they offer a good product. The decision is yours but in my eyes you have to look into whether or not you can actually turn a PROFIT. After all the hidden costs are over with (“starter kit”, the required monthly investment you yourself have to put into it, along with many others), are you able to actually make any money?

22. i have a few questions…
1. are ALL, every last, products formulated in switzerland?
2. where is the arbonne name from?
3. on pg. 5 of the cdn catalogue it states “… to seek alternative ingredients to reduce the traces of parabens, gluten & GMO in our formulas.” that to me means there are parabens in arbonne formulas, but free of formaldehyde-donating preservatives. are there good parabens?
4. how long does arbonne test a product before marking it truly safe, without possible danger of future negative effects of certain tree/leaf/nut/etc ingredient?

23. Michelle,

24. When I went to an arbonne party, the lady told me it was 100% chemical free made from essential oils and natural ingredients. My product I bought rates in the red on skin deep and I can’t any longer use it. I can’t use things like that for my babies. 🙁

1. I am a bit late in joining this forum and don’t even know if this reply will reach you. However, I’ll give it a shot. Arbonne products are botanically based and free of synthetic chemical. The ingredients are also tested to a 0% tolerance; however, it is not to say that one can not have an allergic reaction to a botanical ingredient. The redness you experienced might be a reaction to a botanical ingredient. Regardless of what product you use, if that (those) ingredients are in the formulation, you would react to it. I hope that helps….8 years too late! LOL

25. Hurrah, I have already replied to another comment about the company being like a ‘cult’, and the consutants appearing ‘brainwashed’. My comment seems to have been removed, although it said nothing offensive ot defamatory. It will be VERY interesting to see whether this reply gets deleted too. Here’s me thinking that this is a ‘open forum’ yo view our opinions!

26. Arbonne is a fantastic company with great products and amazing benefits for Consultants. You can even do the business online with a new format that is proving to be very successful.
I would love to hear from anyone interested in building an Arbonne business.
