Those of us in the western world take so much for granted.

Air conditioning. An abundance of food. Clean clothing. Excellent medical care. And more entertainment options than we know what to do with.

Our first world problems are nothing compared to the problems faced by those in the third world.

Clean water, for example.

We have plenty of it, but in some regions of the world the water supply is unfit for human consumption. Laden with bacteria and all varieties of contaminants, that which flows freely from our taps and which we consume by the bottle, is a rare commodity.
