I Can See Your Future

People are always asking me what the next big thing is. They want to know what trends are developing which they can take advantage of in their business.

I simply pull out my crystal ball and I tell them this.

With absolute certainty, with complete confidence, and with assurance that what I am about to say is completely true…

I don’t know.

Oh, sure. I could hazard a guess at the answer. But I would never suggest that someone bank their business on my best guess. Sometimes I am right and sometimes I am wrong.

However, there is something that I do know. And I believe it to be true. In a way, I can see your future. Would you like to know what I see?

I think your future is very bright! In fact, I believe your greatest days are before you.

Best Days

If I’ve learned one thing over my nearly-five decades of life, it’s this…[tbpquotable]The experiences of our past accumulate as the fuel for our future successes.[/tbpquotable]

With each job, relationship and business, and with the corresponding success or failure of each of these, we learn and grow.

Before I owned my own business I had worked in a number of positions. And even as an Internet entrepreneur, I’ve worn many hats. All of these jobs and tasks have equipped me and make me more well-rounded.

Like a snowball rolling downhill, we pick up more wisdom and skill with each passing day. How can you not grow and become a more powerful force?

There are those who don’t learn from their mistakes. There are those who stay stuck. But it’s not likely that any of these people are reading this blog! Even if you are having a difficult time right now, the fact that you are reading this is proof that you are open to growth and change. (Go ahead and give yourself a pat on the back. I give you permission.)

I have accomplished a variety of things over the years. But I’m not resting on those successes (or failures). I intend to move forward, continuing to innovate and find create ways to bring value to those around me. With that in mind I believe the work I am yet to do will overshadow that which I have already completed.

I believe the very same thing for YOU!

All that you have learned, experienced, tried, succeeded at or failed miserably at is propelling you towards that next “big thing.”

No, I don’t know what it is. But if you continue to press forward and remain open to opportunities no matter how they present themselves, amazing things can and WILL happen! I believe that.

While I do want you to be excited for your future, I’m not saying these things just to get you excited. I want you to BELIEVE.

Believe that you have wonderful value to bring to the world.

Believe that you are worthy of doing what you were called to do.

[tbpquotable]Believe that anything is possible[/tbpquotable].

And then put feet to your faith… take that belief and show it that you are committed to it. Do something. Take steps, no matter how small, each and every day.

Show that belief that you are serious, and that you won’t stop until you get where you are headed.

Many people live life by their feelings. If they feel happy, they are motivated to move forward. But if they feel sad, frustrated or fearful, action can be stifled.

The problem is that we should not live by our feelings. Feelings can change day to day, if not minute to minute. They are not a reliable indicator of the truth.

That’s why belief is so important. If what you believe is what you choose to build your life on, you will act in a way that is equal to that belief, whether you FEEL like it or not.

Decide what you believe about your future. Choose to consistently behave and act as though your core belief is true. As for your feelings, they will fluctuate. But good feelings will naturally follow when you demonstrate committed activity towards your belief. It’s not rocket science. And it’s true.

My broken crystal ball promise anything, but your future is FULL of PROMISE! How will you treat your todays?

If your best days are before you, and I believe they are, take daily action towards your destination.

While there are no guarantees in life, I prefer to assume the best and deal with the worst when it comes my way.

You don’t need a crystal ball. Live from the God-given passions, talents, skills, abilities and personality that are within you. You are created to do great things!

Believe it and go for it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Your thoughts? They are always welcome and I would love to know what is stirring in your right now after reading this. I’d be honored if you would share with me in the comments field below.

  1. I’m a strong believer in connecting head and heart. So if my emotions are low energy, not wanting to engage with others, belief helps me to shift my state. However, I also pay attention to those feelings and check-in if there is something I need to attend to in my life. Perhaps I am not honoring myself by using my gifts and talents and that’s why I feel low. I believe that neither head nor heart should fully run the show, they work best and most effectively as a team!

I am truly enjoying your posts Joel and appreciate the wisdom that you share with us!

  2. At 85, I have no doubts about my future. As a Christian I believe my body with die but my spirit lives forever, for all eternity. The good things I do in love are positive things that cause the light of my spirit to get brighter and closer to God. Any negative things I do toward others will diminish the brightness of my spiritual light, but it will never be extinguished. My spirit may live other earthly lives in the future, if my spirit wants to. I set my own spiritual goals and my aim is to always increased my oneness with God.

  3. I absolutely loved that ! I do believe and sometimes when things are at their absolute worst, (like the last three months), that is what I fall back on. Belief and Faith. It’s a beautiful thing.

  5. OUTSTANDING post Joel.

For those that are not moving forward the problem is that they CAN’T see themselves as the kind of person that can do this.

    You mentioned:

“Thatโ€™s why belief is so important. If what you believe is what you choose to build your life on, you will act in a way that is equal to that belief, whether you FEEL like it or not.”

The PROBLEM is how do YOU change beliefs that are so ingrained for some folks.

I have found tools such as EFT and the Morte Lefkoe strategy have been very helpful in helping my students change their beliefs.

    THANKS for the reminders!
