Keystone, Day 2

What a busy day!

We started out with some breakfast and then a chairlift ride to the top of Keystone mountain. We were fortunate to have good weather this morning and the view from the top was spectacular. Zach and I decided that we would hike down the mountain, figuring it would take us an hour or so to make the 2000 foot, 3-mile descent. As it turned out, it took us 90 minutes and it was much harder than i thought it would be. But we did it just the same and my knees are feeling it! It was good bonding time for me and Zach.

Afterwards, we found the swimming pool and hot tub. Man, did that feel great.

Back to the room for a short nap and chill out time. Around 4:30, we left for the Adventure Center to take part in a horse-drawn wagon ride and old-fashioned barbecue dinner at Keystone Ranch. By this time it was raining pretty hard, but the wagon was covered (for the most part) so we enjoyed it just the same. The staff was great, the food was ok and the entertainer did a great job playing songs on his guitar and taking requests. We spent several hours there before arriving back at our room just before 9 pm.

Tomorrow we check out and head to a destination to be decided…
