Support StartUp Visas

It’s no secret that certain types of jobs (read: manufacturing or factory) in the United States are disappearing or have already disappeared, never to return. So what will our future economy be based on? Part of the answer just may be: something that doesn’t exist yet. And some of the people who have the potential to start those new and future successful businesses are currently in a different country, prohibited from pursuing their goals in the U.S. because they can’t get a visa.
The StartUp Visa Act is proposed legislation that would make it easier for foreign entrepreneurs, who have already secured funding to start a business in the United States, to obtain a visa to do so. Making it easier for such people to stay in the country to start and run their businesses will only mean good things for job creation, job diversity, and the economy as a whole.
The proposed legislation is supported by Silicon Valley entrepreneurs and venture capitalists, since a lot of the people affected would be working on creating new tech start-ups. No matter what people’s stance on immigration is, this bill should be easy to get behind since it is talking about letting in people who would have a direct impact on job creation and perhaps jump-starting the U.S. economy.
