I bought my first computer in 1980 and was dialing in to online services that same year. I built my first site in 1995, shopped online and auctioned on eBay in 1996, started blogging in 2003, uploaded my first YouTube video in 2006, purchased the first iPhone for $600 in 2007 and had one of…
As a blogger, I frequently share my opinion on a number of topics. That sometimes includes current events or newsworthy items. However, I never put myself forth as a journalist. While I prefer to have my facts straight, I must confess that I don’t always get it right. But I believe those who report news…
I few months ago I came up with the idea of creating a simple app that entrepreneurs would enjoy. Being a big fan of buttons that make sounds (eg: The Easy Button), I thought a bit about what that app would be. Since I’ve got a book called “KaChing: How to Run an Online Business…
Multiplayer gaming on the iPhone has been one of the most requested features. To date, a few developers have created multiplayer gaming for local area network and bluetooth phones, but none have really developed a lobby-style platform that people from all over the world can play on standard wireless phone networks. That is getting ready…
Big changes don’t usually happen overnight. There are usually a few quiet moves first — little tweaks and adjustments that no one really notices. And then suddenly, one more little change makes a huge difference, pushes it over the tipping point and forces everyone to pay attention.

As soon as Apple announced that they would launch an App Store along with the debut of the iPhone 3G, I am my team KNEW we wanted to develop applications that could be distributed via iTunes. Our first app was called iVote Mobile. Launched this summer, iVote is a free app that allows users to…
Since the iTunes App store launched, many developers have been wondering exactly how app store rank relates to actual sales. I haven’t seen anyone release this data as of yet, and while mine is incomplete, it can give you a glimpse into how ranking translates to units sold. Our application, iFart Mobile (app store link)…
When Apple released the iPhone in 2007, they effectively announced “game over” to the rest of the cell phone world. With the release of the 3G and the iTunes App Store, Apple puts another nail in the coffin of wannabees who will arrive late to this party. The moment I saw the App Store, I…
I am a PC user. I am also a Mac user. That’s right. When it comes to computers, I enjoy the best of both worlds. In fact, I have used BOTH Apple and PC-based computers since they became available almost three decades ago! I am leaning Mac-heavy these days, but my home computer is still…
I’m a big fan of Amazon.com. I spend far too much money there but they also give me a fair bit of money too through book sales and affiliate links. I think they’ve done a fantastic job of selling products online and helping website publishers earn from their content. They might be the Walmart of…
