The Amazon Echo Experience with Joel Comm

Amazon.com has been on the cutting edge of implementing new technologies for many years. I’ve been an Amazon associate for a very long time, a customer even before then and an adopter of their Amazon Prime program since they first launched it. I love the benefits that come from Prime, including free 2-day shipping, video streaming and Prime music.
When Amazon announced their new voice-controlled device for home use, the Amazon Echo, I instantly took advantage of pre-ordering one at the Prime discount price of $99.
My Echo arrived today and I’ve taken some time to unbox and show you what this little gadget can do. Here’s my brief unboxing video.
Not only is it a decent-quality bluetooth speaker, but the voice-control options go beyond playing music. I can tell the device to give me the news or the weather. I can ask it a question such as “how far is it to Los Angeles”. I can ask to find a song and then have it buy the music for me.
Take a look at the following video to give you an idea of what the Amazon Echo can do.
Yeah, I think I can get used to having Echo around.

Great review of the Echo! I may need one now!
I literally just spit out my drink when you started dancing to Uptown Funk. Well done Sir… well done.
(Also, GREAT videos!!)
I claim to be the first person to ever interview Alexa on Joel’s Echo. I think she might be a little funnier than you Joel. Thanks for the great peek at what she can do! (And for being on the show today!)
I ordered an Echo the moment I saw the first commercial like you did, Joel. I LOVE techy gadgets!
Thanks for the unboxing and detailed review. I can’t wait to get mine!
I got an email saying that I should get mine around April 15 or so. I wish it were sooner!
Did you possibly get yours sooner than expected?
Hugs,
Kristi
