The Joel Comm Show is BACK!

As of today, I am pleased to announce the final phase in my comeback has now been put into action. After selling off a couple of my businesses, cutting my staff to one person (me!) and taking a semi-sabbatical to work on myself physically, emotionally and spiritually, I now am ready to pour good stuff back into the world the best way I know how.

I’ve reworked my website, am presently writing a couple books, exploring joint venture opportunities and quite active in the social space. Now, I have revived The Joel Comm Show in the form of a podcast.

That means you can take me with you wherever you go! (Isn’t that convenient?)

It’s my first episode, so it may be a little rough around the edges. Be gentle with me, please.

  1. I enjoyed the first podcast Joel, great to have you back. Personally I would prefer it to be a video podcast as they are more personal. Check your Facebook wall for the screenshot of Issue 1 of the Top 1% from 5 years ago. Still have it along with the members bonus DVD.

  4. I just listened. Great (first) podcast 🙂 My site is hosted by BlueHost and I watched the BlueHost FB thread on Friday blow up. I actually felt bad for BlueHost. They posted updates and people were so nasty and mean demanding better service. BlueHost was obviously doing the best they could. I will add your podcast to my list and listen again!

  10. I too failed to over-react to the hosting problems. Hostgator has been there for me for a long time as well. I am a little nervous that the company who owns them seems to keep buying. Makes me think the corporate culture is changing.

    I’m still on the fence because there is no guaranteed service.

    Oh well, tomorrow already came. 🙂

  16. Although Hostgator is my host, I was fortunate that it didn’t affect me that day.

    Life is about relationships. Marketing is about relationships.
    Keeping it real is where it’s at. Be yourself, be natural and have a good time. I’m not a rocket scientist either!

  19. Thanks for the excellent info re: freaking out over the recent hosting outage. Saw a lot of folks on LinkedIn and Facebook all ready to jump to a new provider. I guess 99.95 uptime isn’t good enough for some.

    And thanks even more for the “flashback” moment to Mr Wizard! Loved that show as much as Rocky and Bullwinkle.

  24. Great to have you back Joel! I have Bluehost for a few clients and my site as luck would have it is still on GoDaddy. I watched as others have mentioned the BlueHost Twitter stream and I think they did a pretty good job of keeping us updated. Did I panic – heck no, I informed my clients the latest status throughout the day but I continued on as business as usual. This wasn’t the first outage and it won’t be the last. Interesting, almost comical to see others jumping ship impulsively thinking the grass is greener on another provider. Looking forward to next week’s episode 🙂

    I liked everything about the show, the info, the wisdom, the fact that you are back, the voice, the music, … well… almost everything… it could use a picture instead of a black screen on the viewer.
