The Only Difference

There are those who seem to accomplish things and there are those who are stuck.

What makes the difference? Is it really as simple as Nike says, “just do it’?

I believe this is a profound truth. In fact, it’s stupidly profound.

That truth is…

“The only difference between those who are doing it and those who aren’t doing it is that those who are doing it… are doing it!”

The Doing Difference.jpg

I hear it over and over. People want to do things. People want to have the success. They have good intentions.

Wanting and good intentions won’t bring it.

Doing it and putting it into action will.

Of course, “it” can be applied to anything. What I’m talking about here is success in your online business.

So, how does one go from stuck to accomplishing things?

Let’s take a writer for example.

How does a writer overcome writer’s block?

They must write. They must do things to move their minds in the direction of writing. Whether it is through silly writing exercises to writing games, the point is to stimulate the brain into writing mode.

Through the act of writing, the mind begins to focus on the task at hand and ideas start to flow. When they start to focus on their next great American novel, taking it one character at a time, one scene at a time, the story starts to unfold before their mind’s eyes and it starts to take on a life of it’s own.

This is called “being in the flow”.

The same idea can be applied to your business too. Start in one area of your business by taking a how-to course, finishing it and then doing what it teaches you. This will help you to grow in that area.

Growing doesn’t happen without doing.

Now, get out there and JUST DO IT!

(i always refer of you as the advice of my internet friend) I run a little Hotel for 10 years and am trying to figure out how to take what I know and leave this experience for my daughters or others… I have the block! you talk about… I have to start and try but is not easy… thanks for your advice! this post was very great…

  2. Joel,
Been reading Kaching and just kinda browsing around on your website. I’m 54 years old and really like what you’re about. I’m literally starting over. After a successful real estate career, I’ve lost everything and am now starting over. Yes, it’s scary. I have three kids, one on her way to college next year, God willing, one in high school and the other entering first grade. I’m broke, I’m searching, and I’m trusting the process. I like your “just do it” mantra. The biggest obstacle in my life has always been “trying to figure it out” before starting. Consequently, I don’t do anything. I’m committed to jumping into the deep end and entering the online “Kaching” playground. I will continue my commercial real estate career but am desiring to create multiple streams of income. I like the idea of making this fun as opposed being attached to the outcome. That approach is a “game changer” in my opinion. This literally is the first time I’ve ever posted anything on the internet. Well, here it goes, I’m clicking submit.
