There’s No One Like You
To my knowledge, I am the only Joel Comm in the entire world. Go ahead, Google me. You’ll be hard-pressed to find another.
But a name is just a name. Even if you share your name with another person, or thousands of others (sorry Bob Smith), there is still just one YOU!
Surely you know that you have never been here before and there will never be another you.
So what does that mean in the big scheme of things?
It’s my personal belief that every person is created by God with unique passions, talents, skills, abilities, personality and presence which makes them unlike anyone who has ever existed before. You are SPECIAL!
Due to your unique makeup you become the only person in the world who can impact the world in your unique way. You can’t be me. I can’t be you. You are IT!
That means today is the day for you to use your uniqueness to bring value to the world around you.
Explore your passion. Use your talent. Exercise your skills. Improve your abilities. Be true to your personality. Share your presence. When you do what comes natural to you, you are being who you were made to be.
This is a key to living a full life with no regret.
In fact, I would go so far as to say that those who are not using their passions, talents, skills and abilities are actually doing the world a disservice. You are holding out on the rest of us!
It’s true. There’s no one like you.

The old saying “To compare is to despair,” is certainly true here. It is tempting to compare our failures to the achievements of others. Yet, we all have unique talents and experiences where we can both get better and appreciate what we’ve attained.

You can never hear this too much. It’s easy to get caught up comparing yourself to others, especially online, but if you’re not being yourself, you’ll never achieve success on your own terms.

I agree with you wholeheartedly that every person on the planet was created by God with unique skills, talents and abilities.
As for others having my name, there are others that share the name, but as you said: There is only one me.
Thanks for reinforcing this, because everyone forgets this important fact and feels hopeless (or lonely) at times.
